Holly Springs Main Street Association is joining “Let’s Go Walking
Mississippi” Saturday, Nov. 8, as part of the first statewide event in

Fitch Farms-Galena Plantation announces dates for National “Celebrity” Championship Hunt The
date is set! The 2008 National “Celebrity” Championship Hunt is
scheduled for Nov. 13 through 15 (Thursday through Saturday) on the
historic grounds of Fitch Farm-Galena Plantation in Holly Springs. It
will be an exciting action-packed three days of quail hunting on the
7,000-acre estate dedicated to the preservation of maintaining habitat

Energy industry faces challenges By BARRY BURLESON Editor Pricing, availability and environmental concerns are just a few challenges electric cooperatives are facing. “And
these are all causes of concern,” said Kevin Doddridge, general manager
of Northcentral Electric Power Association. “But what really makes us
pace and worry is the storm that comes up. Our employees have the right
to leave their families and return unharmed. It’s my responsibility,

Byhalia police respond to accidents, damaged property The Byhalia Police Department responded to 31 calls last week. Chief
Gary Looney released the following report – five alarm calls, three
motor vehicle accidents, one burglary, one disturbance, five escorts,
two animal-related calls, three assists, three medical assists, two
fires, five miscellaneous calls and one report of damaged property.
Byhalia police also made 12 arrests on various charges.
